Operations Manager Role
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead the daily operations of our shipyard in Harwood, NSW.
This is a site-based role, ideal for someone with a strong background in marine operations or heavy industry, and a passion for safety, quality, and project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage day-to-day vessel and barge maintenance operations
* Lead planning, scheduling and resource allocation across projects
* Ensure compliance with WHS, environmental and quality standards
* Drive efficiency, cost control, and continuous improvement
* Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors and suppliers
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
* Provide leadership and guidance to supervisors, trades and project teams
Requirements:
* 5+ years' experience in a similar operations/leadership role
* Marine, shipbuilding or heavy engineering industry experience (highly desirable)
* Strong understanding of vessel construction, maintenance and refit practices
* Proven ability to manage complex projects and lead diverse teams
* Excellent communication, planning and problem-solving skills
