About the Role
This role will ensure Council's paths, trails, and civil infrastructure assets are constructed and maintained in accordance with Council standards, plans, and compliance requirements.
You will coordinate and supervise path, trail, and civil infrastructure construction and maintenance programs, including contractor oversight and project delivery.
What You'll deliver
* Plan, supervise, and monitor staff and contractors to deliver renewal, maintenance, and construction programs for paths, trails, roads, and drainage assets.
* Analyse asset data to develop strategic maintenance programs and ensure accurate recording of inspections and works in Council's Asset Management Systems.
* Investigate and respond to customer requests, incidents, and insurance claims relating to paths, trails, roads, and drainage assets.
* Ensure all activities comply with City of Casey policies, procedures, the Road Management Plan, and safe work practices.
* Manage resources effectively, contribute to departmental objectives, and respond to emergencies as required.
What You'll Bring
* Certificate III in Civil Construction or a relevant qualification, or equivalent experience within the civil infrastructure field.
* Proven experience in budget oversight, program delivery, contract administration, staff supervision, and contractor management.
* Demonstrated capability in the maintenance and construction of civil infrastructure assets.
* Current Traffic Management knowledge or accreditation applicable to civil works environments.
* White card
* Willingness to undergo pre‐employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check, Eligibility to Work check and Functional Assessment (Medical/physio).
