Greencross Vets in North Parramatta is seeking a compassionate and skilled Veterinary Nurse to join our dedicated team. As a vital member of our veterinary practice, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional care to our patients and support to our clients.
Your New Role
* Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and surgical procedures
* Administer medications and provide post‑operative care to patients
* Conduct laboratory tests and analyse samples
* Monitor and care for hospitalised animals
* Educate clients on proper animal care, nutrition, and preventative health measures
* Maintain accurate medical records and manage appointment schedules
* Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the veterinary clinic
* Provide emotional support to pet owners during difficult times
* Participate in continuing education to stay current with veterinary nursing practices
Role Requirements
* Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent qualification
* Proven experience in animal handling and restraint techniques
* Proficiency in administering medications and assisting with surgical procedures
* Strong knowledge of laboratory testing and interpretation of results
* Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members
* Demonstrated ability to maintain accurate and detailed medical records
* Thorough understanding of animal health, welfare, and veterinary clinic procedures
* Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple tasks
* Compate approach to animal care and client relations
* Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development
* Previous experience in a veterinary clinic is highly desirable
