About the role
We are seeking Critical Care experienced Registered Nurses to join our professional team at Grampians Health Horsham. These positions are available for an immediate start and include working a rotating 7-day, 24-hour roster. The primary purpose of this position is to provide person-centred nursing care for patients with life-threatening conditions and complex healthcare problems, whilst working closely with a multidisciplinary team, Our ICU is a 5-bed unit providing coronary and intensive care facilities to treat a range of cardiac, respiratory and other conditions and is incorporated within the 29 bed Acute Medical/Surgical Unit. Skills and experience
·Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration
·Post Graduate/Certificate qualifications in critical care or recent experience in Intensive Care Nursing and willing to undertake further education, training and competency assessment as required
·Excellent communication and problem solving skills
·Commitment to personal and professional development and continuous quality improvement
·Proficiency in the use of information technology
·Passionate about delivering outstanding patient centred care
·Demonstrated ability to work proficiently in periods of high demand and activity
Desirable
·Have at least 2 years in Critical Care nursing
·Experience in attending MET calls

This position is paid in accordance with the Nurses and Midwives (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2020 - 2024. The classification is Registered Nurse Grade 2 (YP2 - YP9) which ranges from $ - $ per hour.
All appointments are subject to a satisfactory police records check, immunisation clearance and Working with Children check and/or NDIS Worker Screening Check.
All employees must be willing and able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required, which at a minimum is a surgical mask.Additional PPE requirements are role-dependent.
