The role involves working within the Paediatric Department, which offers consultative, inpatient, and outpatient services, including outreach services at various regional centers. The team consists of full-time and part-time Specialists, supported by excellent Registrar and JMO support.

**The Facility**
Servicing a population of approximately 116,000, the Department of Health has major sites located approximately 50km apart. The DoH offers a comprehensive undergraduate and graduate clinical training program, with close ties to the University of Tasmania through the Rural Clinical School. Accredited with the RACP for Registrar training.
**The Requirements**
- Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Physicians - Paediatric Medicine or an equivalent specialist qualification suitable for supervising trainees of that College.
- Current AHPRA Registration.
- Demonstrated skills in the investigation and care of paediatric patients.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
- High-level skills in problem-solving and decision-making at both the clinical and individual levels.
- Compliance with appropriate immunisation requirements.
