Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Production Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for completing driving routes for pickup and drop off of donations at our warehouse, assigned donation boxes, and donor homes.
This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to plan daily routing based on pick-ups assigned and make all scheduled calls. The ideal candidate will also have excellent customer service skills and be able to treat customers courteously, accept or refuse donations appropriately.
Responsibilities:
* Secure and operate vehicles and other assigned equipment safely and efficiently.
* Perform daily walk-around inspections of vehicles and report any problems immediately to the supervisor.
* Maintain a clean and organized truck cab and box.
* Plan and execute daily routing based on assigned pick-ups.
* Develop and maintain efficient routes, including bagging or carding on both sides and across the street of each pick-up.
* Provide exceptional customer service, accept or refuse donations appropriately, and follow established guidelines.
* Maintain accurate records, including delivery manifests, trip logs, and communication procedures.
* Load and unload trucks safely and securely, avoiding excessive movement of materials during transit.
* Assist Thrift Store personnel when delivering items.
Requirements:
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
* Valid driver's license for assigned vehicles and an acceptable DMV record.
* Ability to lift 100 lbs.
* Strong reading and map-reading skills.
* Experience with GPS navigation and use of iPads for reporting and communication.
* Excellent customer service and communication skills.
* Medical clearance may be required depending on location and/or state regulations.
