We are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic / Fitter to join our offshore crane maintenance team operating in Bass Strait, VIC. The role involves maintaining and fault-finding on offshore cranes and associated hydraulic systems while working closely with both offshore crews and the onshore support team.

Key Responsibilities
· Maintenance, repair, and fault-finding on offshore cranes
· Diagnosis and repair of hydraulic and mechanical systems
· Conduct inspections and report on equipment condition
· Reading, interpreting, and working from drawings, schematics, and manuals
· Job planning and liaising with onshore engineering, planning, and operations teams
· Providing clear handovers and technical feedback to onshore support
· Collaborating closely with welding, mechanical, and offshore crews to deliver planned works
· Preventative and corrective maintenance in line with site procedures
· Working safely at heights and in line with all offshore procedures
Essential Requirements
· Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering (Diesel) OR Certificate III in Engineering – Fitting & Machining
· Strong understanding of hydraulic systems and fault-finding
· Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documentation
· Comfortable working at heights in an offshore environment
· Strong reporting, communication, and organisational skills
· Proven problem-solving ability and capacity to think on your feet
· Adaptable, proactive attitude suited to offshore work
· Ability to work well within a small, close-knit team
