We are seeking a talented lawyer to join our growing team, working closely with our Head of Defence, to leverage the capability of a national, independent, full-service law firm. Our lawyers work alongside clients to deliver innovative solutions through technology, challenging business models, innovative pricing, and creative resourcing.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering exceptional legal services, particularly in public sector matters, and be committed to the growth of our Commonwealth government practice. A strong understanding of the defence and national security environment is essential, as well as experience working in or with the Commonwealth government on Commonwealth matters.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide expert legal advice to clients in the defence and national security space
* Develop and implement strategic plans to drive the growth of our Commonwealth government practice
* Collaborate with colleagues to identify opportunities for innovation and cost savings
* Contribute to the development of industry-leading practices and expertise
Requirements:
* Between two and eight years of post-admission experience
* Experience working in or with the Commonwealth government on Commonwealth matters
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Able to work autonomously and as part of a supportive, collaborative team
