The Role
This is a hands on role suited to a technically strong Financial Accountant who is comfortable across month end, compliance and operational finance, while supporting the wider business.
Key responsibilities include
* Take ownership of month end reporting, ensuring balance sheet integrity and delivering additional Head Office reporting requirements
* Partner with Retail Operations by preparing meaningful performance packs and providing clear commercial insight
* Oversee AP and AR activities to ensure smooth day to day finance operations
* Manage weekly cashflow forecasting and support key compliance requirements including BAS, GST, FBT and income tax
* Contribute to stock and inventory processes, including involvement in biannual stocktakes
* Play an active role in budgeting, forecasting and annual audit processes
* Drive process improvement initiatives, strengthen internal controls and support system enhancements
* Document and refine procedures, challenge inefficiencies and identify opportunities to improve performance across the finance function
About you
* CA/CPA qualified or close to completion
* 3+ years experience in a Financial Accountant role, ideally within a commercial environment
* Strong technical accounting and compliance capability
* Confident managing stakeholders across finance and operations
* Proactive, detail oriented and focused on continuous improvement
