Risk Consulting Role Overview
We're looking for a seasoned expert in risk transformation to support the delivery of a large, multi-year program of work. As a key member of our Risk Consulting practice, you will collaborate with diverse teams, contributing to the delivery of high-quality client services.
You'll assist clients in understanding and managing their business risks, while ensuring the integrity of critical information. You'll deliver independent risk and project assurance insights to drive strategic outcomes, advise on best practices in project and program management, and provide valuable input to inform decision-making.
This role is based in Canberra – Ngambri; however, we are open to candidates located anywhere across Australia who can work remotely. All you need is relevant experience and Australian Citizenship. Our roles can potentially be adjusted to accommodate flexible working arrangements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Contribute to the development of audit plans, assess internal controls, and address compliance, financial, operational, and strategic risks aligned with professional standards.
* Advise clients on understanding and managing business risks, validating critical business information, and staying informed on emerging trends to provide relevant, forward-thinking assurance insights.
* Build strong relationships with clients by meeting service expectations and contributing positively to team discussions with energy, fresh ideas, and a collaborative mindset.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* A Bachelor's or Master's degree in business, project management, accounting, or a related field.
* Professional certifications such as CA, CIA, PRINCE2, P3M3, or other project assurance, governance, or risk-related accreditations are highly regarded.
* Prior experience in risk management, internal audit, risk transformation, policy review, or program/project management, along with a good understanding of project methodologies and best practices.
* Strong report writing skills and the ability to clearly communicate findings and recommendations.
