With strong demand driven by attractive government rebates and rising energy costs, our sales pipeline continues to grow. We’re now seeking a driven and customer-focused Solar Sales Consultant to join our tight-knit, Cairns-based team.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Solar Sales Consultant, you will be responsible for managing residential customer enquiries from initial contact through to system design and sale. You’ll work closely with our operations and installation teams to ensure a smooth, high-quality customer experience from start to finish.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Managing and converting inbound residential solar leads

* Conducting on-site and phone consultations with customers

* Designing tailored solar and battery solutions to suit customer needs

* Preparing and presenting quotes and proposals

* Educating customers on solar rebates, system performance and long-term savings

* Maintaining accurate CRM records and follow-ups

* Drive business growth by achieving agreed KPI targets

* Collaborating with the admin and installation teams to ensure smooth job delivery

* Building strong relationships and representing East Coast Energy Solutions professionally at all times

This role is a Monday to Friday, Cairns based position and will involve travel throughout the local region as required.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for a motivated, trustworthy and results‑driven salesperson who takes pride in delivering honest, high‑quality solutions. This is not a typical desk-based sales position. The role follows an FNQ‑style approach to sales, involving on‑site inspections, tailored system design, education and building genuine rapport with our customers.

To be successful, you will ideally have:

· Proven sales experience within the solar, electrical, building or a related industry
OR trade‑qualified electricians ready to leverage their technical knowledge in a consultative sales role

· Knowledge of solar rebates, battery storage and renewable energy systems

· Confidence conducting face‑to‑face site visits and phone consultations

· Strong communication and negotiation skills

· Experience using CRM and quoting software

· A professional, customer‑first approach

· Excellent time management and organisational skills

· Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment

· Current Driver’s Licence
