About the Role
Lismore Base Hospital is seeking a dynamic and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to work across both Acute Care Services (ACS) and the Mental Health Emergency Care (MHEC) team. This dual role offers a unique opportunity to provide psychiatric care in both community and emergency settings, supporting patients in crisis and facilitating continuity of care.
You will :
Lead the multidisciplinary team in delivering psychiatric assessment and treatment for patients in acute and emergency settings.
Provide consultation to the Emergency Department and inpatient units.
Support crisis intervention, triage, and short-term management through the MHEC model.
Supervise junior medical staff and contribute to service development and quality improvement.
