Consultant Psychiatrist – Child & Youth Mental Health

Based in Toowoomba, this position offers the opportunity to deliver high-quality psychiatric care while contributing to **service development, teaching, governance and evidence-based practice**. As a Consultant Psychiatrist within **Child and Youth Mental Health Services (CYMHS)**, you will provide expert clinical care across a broad service profile, supporting recovery-focused outcomes through collaborative, consumer-centred practice.
* Provide specialist psychiatric assessment and management for children and adolescents
* Work across community CYMHS teams and the **Adolescent Inpatient Unit**
* Deliver care across Toowoomba and surrounding rural facilities
* Contribute to clinical governance, service improvement and quality initiatives
* Support education, supervision and mentoring of junior medical staff and trainees
* Promote evidence-based, culturally responsive and family-inclusive care

You Will Also Have
* Fellowship of the **Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP)** or equivalent
* Eligibility for specialist registration with **AHPRA**
* Experience or interest in child and youth mental health across inpatient and community settings
* A collaborative approach and strong multidisciplinary engagement
