Corporate Motel Management Opportunity The McKellar Motel seeks a motivated and hands-on Motel Management Team of Two Why manage the McKellar Motel? Live on-site in this family-owned business that values a positive and collaborative working relationship Experience living in a beautiful county town with a community spirit Manage a modern, well-established property that caters primarily for corporate guests and, of course, leisure and family travellers on weekends About the role This hands-on motel management and operations position is pivotal in ensuring smooth daily operations, maximising Average Daily Rate (ADR) and occupancy levels, and maintaining compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. Working closely with the owners, you will play a significant role in driving business success while delivering exceptional service to our guests. Key Responsibilities Guest services and reception: Manage guest check-ins, inquiries, and bookings with professionalism and a warm welcome Revenue management: Monitor and adjust room rates in response to local events in liaison with the owners Administration: Respond to guest feedback, manage stock orders and inventory, and maintain operational records Property operations: Oversee housekeeping, ordering and stocktaking of all linen and towelling, basic room and property maintenance, pool care, and grounds upkeep Compliance and safety: Ensure adherence to Work Health & Safety (WHS), fire regulations, licensing, and essential service requirements Trade and contractor liaison: Organise and coordinate external maintenance services when needed To be successful, you must have: ABN Proven motel management experience (or similar accommodation industry experience) Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with a diverse range of guests and stakeholders High level of computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office, Xero (or similar accounting software), and familiarity with Property Management Systems such as GuestPoint, with working knowledge of channel management highly regarded Experience working with online travel agencies (OTAs), including Booking.com and Expedia Ability to live onsite, work weekends and public holidays A current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain) Approved Manager on premises - Liquor Licensing laws in NSW.
