Telecom, Utility and Mapping Sector Business Growth Specialist
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Sydney team as a Business Development Account Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in the Telecom, Utility, and Mapping sectors.
Your primary focus will be on growing our client base by combining sales hunting, pre-sales support, and account development strategies. You will work closely with senior leadership and delivery teams to position our full suite of GIS and engineering offerings, while gaining hands-on experience in enterprise sales and solution development.
* Main Responsibilities:
* IDentify and pursue new business opportunities in the Telecom, Utility, and Mapping sectors
* Support pre-sales activities including proposal preparation, client presentations, and solution scoping
* Build and maintain relationships with key accounts, ensuring high client satisfaction and repeat business
* Collaborate with delivery and technical teams to align solutions with client needs
* Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform business development strategies
* Assist in responding to RFPs, RFIs, and tenders
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Graduate degree in Business, Engineering, GIS, or related field
* Excellent communication and presentation skills
* Proactive, self-starter mindset with a willingness to learn and grow
* Ability to work across teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
* Familiarity with GIS tools (e.g., ArcGIS, MapInfo, QGIS) or telecom/utility sectors is a plus
