About the Role
Due to ongoing internal growth, we are now seeking to build our National Finance Team with two more confident professionals to join us as a Purchasing Officer - Buyer. These roles will be based at our Head Office in Helensvale (QLD).
Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, You will be exposed to all aspects of our buying process and strategy - we have a large online footprint and boast a huge range of products!
This is not a transactional buying role or function reliant on historic data. Integral to its success is the ability to manage working capital, supplier relationships and availability in a fast-growing, distribution-led business.
Responsibilities
* Monitor stock levels and plan ahead to ensure suitable inventory levels
* Provide an uninterrupted supply of goods to the organisation
* Build and maintain a strong rapport with Suppliers
* Negotiate competitive pricing
* Assist with resolving product queries raised by internal teams
Required Knowledge and Skills
* Experience in a procurement or supply chain role
* Attention to detail and accuracy skills
* A positive and enthusiastic attitude
* Strong communication and computer literacy skills
* Ability to work within a team
* Experience in the Electrical Wholesale industry is highly regarded
