About the Role
We are currently seeking expressions of interest from Boilermakers/Welders for regular ongoing work in our Geraldton workshop. These are full time permanent positions.
Geraldton is a coastal city in the Midwest region of Western Australia. With a beautiful Mediterranean climate and a stunning coastline, it makes for the perfect work/life balance.
Duties
* Ensure achievement of maintenance goals to maximise plant and equipment availability
* Set up and adjust metalworking machines and equipment and operate machines to produce parts or tools
* Mark the shape and dimensions of a part to be machined by studying blueprints and using measuring instruments
* Assemble and fit machined parts using drill holes and tap threads, if necessary, for bolting parts together
* Manufacture, repair and fault-find hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
* Operate powered machines that may be manually, or computer controlled
* Erect machinery and equipment on site as required; and inspect machinery regularly and make any adjustments or repairs as required
Skills and Experience
Essential Criteria (what's required):
* Trade certification (Cert III in Engineering - Fabrication or relevant experience)
* Minimum 4 years' experience
* Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
* Ability to work well in a team in remote areas
* Strong commitment towards safety and quality
* Motivated and hardworking with a professional attitude
* Company and customer focused based
* Supply a current manual driver's licence
* Forklift and EWP are desirable however not essential
* Ability to pass a medical and D&A screen
Salary
Guaranteed annual earnings: AUD70,000 to AUD100,000 plus superannuation per annum._ Relocation assistance will be available to the successful candidate._
