About the Role
The Health Centre at Prince Alfred College provides a vital service in the care of boarding and day students at PAC.
As the Health Centre Nurse Manager, you will coordinate and oversee the delivery of high-quality nursing care, health education, and wellness initiatives across the College.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the Health Centre nursing team, including performance management, rostering and professional development.
Provide and coordinate primary nursing care for students and staff.
Develop and implement health care plans for students with chronic conditions.
Manage immunisation programs and medication administration.
Liaise with parents, guardians, and medical professionals regarding student health.
Oversee WHS compliance and contribute to risk-management strategies.
Ensure accurate health records are maintained and manage operational budgets.
Support health education and staff training initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
Current nursing registration and First Aid qualifications.
Ability to triage and work in an environment with competing priorities.
Commitment to collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
Experience in paediatric or adolescent nursing, ideally within an educational setting.
Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
Commitment to health promotion, preventative care, and continuous professional development.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of WHS and child protection practices.
Confidence in managing health emergencies and coordinating care.
Working Hours
37.5 hours Monday to Friday during school term time, and part of the school holidays (as negotiated).
The Health Centre operates between 7 : 30 am and 6 : 00 pm Monday to Friday.
Some weekend work may be required on occasions.
