**About the Company**
This opportunity is with one of the largest and most successful racing clubs in Australia. They are a not-for-profit organisation residing in North-Western Melbourne, with a state-of-the-art track that hosts hundreds of races annually. Similarly, their venue and events centre are considered a jewel in Melbourne's northern suburbs that is utilised beyond race day activities. It can host up to 400 guests in a range of event or conference spaces throughout the venue, that ensures a successful future for the club in addition to their busy racing program.
**About the Role**
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Strategic Marketing, Events and Engagement Manager forms an integral part of the leadership team. The role will see you responsible for developing, implementing and reporting on the annual marketing and events strategy, which includes all planning and budgeting functions. You will identify and forge strategic alliances and partnerships that enhance the organisations brand and profile and in turn increase revenue via functions and event sales (racing and non-racing).
To assist with your success, you will need to draw upon your relevant recent expertise to develop campaigns across all marketing channels for this organisation, promoting and showcasing them as a racing, function and entertainment venue. Concurrently, you will need to adequately schedule, plan and budget for major racing and non-racing events with KPIs and expectations for the hospitality and catering team. To ensure success it is essential to forge and enhance key relationships with the media; industry partners; local councils, businesses and the community; the Victorian Government and relevant bodies to promote the venue and to identify sponsorship, grants and partnership opportunities.
**About You**
To be considered for this role, you will have proven events and marketing expertise (including but not limited to creative, SEO, SEM, content, digital and social) coupled with demonstrated experience successfully running events (including managing the program and budget), while being adept at driving engagement to increase sales and revenue. You have experience developing strategies and preparing and delivering reports to an executive or board.
