The Department of Justice and Community Safety (the department) is seeking an Information Technology Coordinator to provide a critical role at the Dame Phyllis Frost Centre.

**About the business unit**

The Corrections and Justice Services (CJS) group, comprising Corrections Victoria, Justice Health and Justice Services, plays an integral role in developing safer and more resilient communities and in delivering a trusted justice and community safety system.

Corrections Victoria is responsible for the implementation of policies, programs and services that ensure the safe and secure containment of prisoners, and that seek to rehabilitate offenders by addressing the underlying causes of offending behaviour.

Corrections Victoria also sets strategy, policy and standards for the management of the state's system of correctional facilities whilst also developing programs for the management and rehabilitation of prisoners and the community-based supervision of offenders.

As part of the CJS group, the DPFC is a 568-bed medium to maximum-security facility for female offenders located within the West Metropolitan Region, Department of Justice

**About the role**

Reporting to the Facilities Manager, the IT Coordinator at the Dame Phyllis Frost Centre is responsible for the effective management of technology resources for staff and women, ensuring that resources are managed effectively, allowing them to operate as intended, being protected from misuse and compliance with Corrections Victoria and departmental technology policies and guidelines. The ITC will coordinate project work relating to technology, including voice systems, and will work closely with the Facilities Manager to ensure works and upgrades are carried out according to timeframe and budget.

Some of your duties will include:

- Provide technical assistance and training to DPFC staff and management in relation to local technology resources.
- Liaise with DJCS & CV Technology Services on project rollouts, installation, or repair of DPFC technology equipment and prisoner computers.
- Act as system administrator for DPFC local systems including, but not limited to, the Visit Booking System and the Electronic Compliance System. Oversee areas of design, user requirements and system requirements and staff communication.

**About you**

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Advanced knowledge and skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated experience in data management system development, implementation and maintenance is desirable.
- Understanding of modern technological advances within a facilities management portfolio would be highly regarded.
