About the role
The Indigenous Workforce Partner plays a vital role in shaping and implementing programs and initiatives that support Federation's Indigenous employment objectives. Collaborating closely with senior stakeholders, managers, and People and Culture partners, this position focuses on designing and executing strategies to enhance the retention, development, engagement, and career progression of Indigenous colleagues.
This includes offering expert advice and guidance to our People and Culture team, Indigenous colleagues and candidates, and people leaders, ensuring a supportive and inclusive workplace where Indigenous staff can thrive.
In addition, the Indigenous Workforce Partner will work closely with the University's Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples Workforce Strategy to develop and implement targeted programs and initiatives to increase Indigenous representation at all levels within the organisation.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have a strong background in human resources and Indigenous employment matters, with extensive experience engaging with and developing Indigenous talent. You will possess:
* Proven track record in implementing talent management solutions and driving strategic change
* Demonstrated experience supporting Indigenous talent and a strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing Indigenous Australians in the workforce
* Excellent consulting and relationship management skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with Indigenous colleagues, candidates and stakeholders
* Strong research, analytical, and conceptual skills, with the ability to design and execute effective strategies and programs
* Effective project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner
