The opportunity
We are looking for a self-motivated and experienced individualto lead a team in providing efficient and effective regularmaintenance to the streetscapes, parks and reserves within the Cityof Mandurah.
Key responsibilities (not limited to)
* Developing and maintaining a regular maintenanceschedule
* Guiding the work of a small team and providing on the jobtraining including apprentices
* Maintaining required quality standardsProviding leadership to ensure safety standards aremaintained
* Ensuring the proper operation and security of materials,plant and equipment
To be successful in this role, you willneed:
* Certificate III or IV in Horticulture or Turf Management orequivalent
* Current unrestricted MR (Medium Rigid) class nationaldriver's licence
* Three to five years' experience developing andmaintaining parks and reserves
* Previous supervisory experience and conducting stafftraining
* Current certificate in Basic Worksite Traffic Management(BWTM) and Traffic Controller
* Current White Card
* Experience and knowledge in the use of tablets,smartphones, MS Office Packages and scheduling software
* Practical experience with horticultural machinery, mowersand related equipment
* Understanding of mowing maintenance techniques, methods andquality control procedures
* Interpersonal and verbal and written communicationskills
* Ability to read maps and plans
