Background
The General Manager of Inclusive Employment will lead the national growth and strategic delivery of Bus Stop Employment’s recruitment and inclusive workforce services. This role focuses on generating new business, building employer partnerships, implementing scalable systems, and delivering placement targets that reflect social impact and financial sustainability.
This leadership role involves business development, candidate engagement, digital systems integration, team management, and advocating for inclusive hiring practices across Australia’s screen, media, creative, and corporate industries.

Salary: $120,000 pro-rata for 4 days ($96,000) + Super + Incentives
Responsibilities
Business Development and Recruitment
* Develop and execute a national strategy to attract new employers and grow existing partnerships
* Establish partnerships with media, screen, corporate, not-for-profit, and government sectors for employment pathways
* Generate employer leads and convert them into meaningful job opportunities
* Achieve KPIs related to job creation, revenue, and placement volume
* Support client and candidate nurturing through account management
* Ensure roles are filled with BSE candidates
* Collaborate with other disability organizations and DES providers for growth
* Build relationships with corporate sponsors interested in workforce inclusion
Technology, Data, and Systems
* Lead implementation and optimization of CRM and digital recruitment platforms
* Provide monthly progress reports to the COO
* Maintain up-to-date proposal and contact information in CRM
* Use reporting dashboards and automation to improve outcomes and insights
* Promote data-informed decision-making and operational efficiency
* Identify and recommend new tech solutions for candidate engagement and employer experience
Marketing, Promotion, and Engagement
* Partner with marketing to build brand awareness and attract candidates and employers
* Shape key messaging across digital and industry channels
* Promote BSE through case studies, newsletters, social media, and events
* Represent BSE at industry forums and networks to promote inclusive employment
Team Oversight
* Support the Account Manager
* Act as an escalation point for the team
* Ensure team KPIs are met and manage HR issues
* Promote training and development opportunities
* Assist in recruitment and team restructuring
Ad hoc
* Undertake other duties as needed to achieve strategic goals
* Support grants and fundraising activities
What are we looking for?
* 8+ years in recruitment or business development, preferably in arts, media, or screen industries
* Proven success in meeting targets and generating revenue growth
* Creative thinker with partnership-building skills
* Experience in creating strategic growth plans
* Proactive problem-solver with process improvement skills
* Strong communication skills tailored for diverse audiences
* Leadership experience with multi-disciplinary teams
* Computer proficiency with CRM, CMS, and project management tools
* Ability to prioritize and work within deadlines
* Flexible, adaptable, self-motivated, and team-oriented
