Overview
Barto Gold is an Australian Gold explorer, developer, and producer operating since 2009, focused on gold exploration and production in Western Australia. The operation includes a 1.8Mtpa processing plant, three active underground mines, two active open pits, with new mines started in 2025 and planned to start in 2026 as part of the 5-year plan and a vision to reach 150,000 oz/pa by 2028.
This is a permanent role on a 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off roster, BIBO from Perth or DIDO option available.
About the role
Reporting to the Mine Foreman, this role works on a back-to-back roster and carries out the statutory duties and responsibilities of an Underground Shift Supervisor. The Underground Shift Supervisor will be responsible for liaising with the mine operations teams and other departments to meet all safety, cost and production targets.
About you
- Must hold WA Underground Supervisors Certificate of Competency
- Minimum 5 years of practical experience in a similar role
- Awareness of the Mine Safety and Inspection Act & Regulations
- Strong communication skills, and ability to speak with all levels within the organisation
- Be able to monitor your crews competencies and training requirements
- Current "C" class WA Drivers licence
- Excellent organisational skills
- Ability to work independently as well as a part of the team
- A solid work ethic and solid desire to do things safely and efficiently
