Sydney Children's Hospitals Network is the largest paediatric health care entity in Australia. We care for thousands of children each year in our hospitals and in their homes — with one purpose in mind — to help young people live their healthiest lives.
This is a newly created and highly specialised opportunity for an experienced Senior Speech Pathologist with a passion for paediatric neurosciences to join the team at Sydney Children's Hospital.
Working across neurology and neurosurgery caseloads, you will provide expert assessment and management for children with complex neurological presentations in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The role has a strong clinical focus, managing communication and swallowing disorders associated with neurological conditions, with particular emphasis on neuromuscular disorders.
As a senior clinician within the neurosciences stream, you will work in close partnership with the other Senior Speech Pathologist to provide clinical leadership, service development, and strategic input to the neurosciences caseloads. This includes contributing to the ongoing development of best-practice models of care within a highly collaborative multidisciplinary environment.
This permanent part-time role is ideally suited to a senior clinician seeking to further develop specialist expertise, contribute to service innovation, and play a key leadership role within a tertiary paediatric hospital setting.
