Job Overview
The position of Project Officer is a unique opportunity to contribute to the delivery and enhancement of Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS), Operational Technology (OT) Network infrastructure, CCTV, Radio, and other projects.
As a key member of the Customer Systems & Operations branch within the Technology Operations unit, you will be responsible for overseeing the project schedule and activities throughout the project lifecycle, including concept design, planning, planning approval, tender, construction, project milestones/deliverables commissioning and handover.
The role involves providing high-quality technical services, including technical oversight, design reviews, contractor oversight and management, site acceptance testing, and system integration testing.
* Providing project and operational support, including monitoring and reporting on project plans and documentation.
* Contributing to project schedules and activities throughout the project lifecycle.
* Troubleshooting and resolving issues as they occur.
* Scope development and contractor management.
* Communicating with relevant stakeholders to provide updates regarding project status and implementation issues.
* Working cooperatively and demonstrating a continuous improvement and growth mindset by contributing and testing ideas for improving work practices, collaborating with internal and external business areas, to achieve objectives and work outcomes.
Key Requirements
* You have previously worked as a Technician or Project Support Officer in an operational team where you managed projects. This specialist position uniquely combines technical knowledge of ITS & operational support with day-to-day project management.
* Knowledge of networking principles (fibre), contract management, and exceptional communication skills both written and verbal are essential to the success of this role.
* Most importantly, you will have a passion for achieving excellence in the delivery of projects in ITS, OT, CCTV, and Radio technologies.
* You will demonstrate a great work ethic, provide high-quality reports, analytics, and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
* You will have proven experience working as a team player while possessing the autonomy to manage your own workload.
