Fleetwood Frames & Trusses is a timber frame and truss manufacturing business based on the Central Coast that is currently seeking an experienced accountant to join our expanding team.
Key Duties include:
* Assisting in formulating budgetary and accounting policies.
* Preparing financial statements for presentation to management.
* Examining operating costs, income, and expenditure to monitor financial performance.
* Providing assurance on the accuracy of financial reports and compliance with statutory requirements.
* Offering financial and taxation advice on business structures, plans, and operations.
* Preparing and lodging taxation returns for individuals and organisations.
* Liaising with financial institutions and brokers to establish funds management arrangements.
* Introducing, maintaining, and advising on accounting systems, including computer-based systems.
* Maintaining internal control systems to ensure accuracy and safeguard assets.
* Appraising cash flow and assessing financial risks of capital investment projects.
Responsibilities
The Accountant (General) will be responsible for:
* Preparing and analysing financial statements and reports in compliance with statutory requirements.
* Assisting in the formulation of budgetary and accounting policies.
* Monitoring financial transactions, examining operating costs, and preparing forecasts.
* Providing financial and taxation advice on business structures, operations, and compliance.
* Preparing and lodging tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax laws.
* Maintaining internal controls and supporting audits as required.
* Advising management on financial performance and strategies for cost control.
Skills & Requirements
* Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
* CPA/CA qualification (or working towards) desirable.
* Minimum 2–3 years of professional accounting experience.
* Strong understanding of Australian accounting standards and tax laws.
* Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Employment Details
* Full-time, permanent position.
* Salary range AUD 75,000 – AUD 85,000 per annum (plus superannuation), commensurate with experience
