The South Australian Council on Intellectual Disability (SACID) works towards achieving a community in which people with intellectual disability are involved and accepted as equal participating members. We do this through consultation with stakeholders, advocating for an inclusive community, promoting the rights of people with intellectual disability and collaborating with like-minded organisations.
ABOUT THE POSITION
SACID have a part time (4 days per week) Finance Coordinator position available. This will be a contract until June 30 2027 with an immediate start.
You will be based at our office in Prospect, SA. This is an office based role.
The Finance Coordinator is primarily responsible for SACID’s financial administration, budgeting and reporting, including but not limited to payroll, payments and bank reconciliation, preparation of grant submission budgets and acquittals, and developing and maintaining financial office systems and processes. This role will also be responsible for upskilling staff in understanding and managing financial processes.
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS POSITION:
* You will hold the belief that all people are valued members of our community
* Qualifications in bookkeeping or accounting
* Proven experience in financial administration - experience in the not-for-profit and charitable environment will be highly regarded
* Current payroll experience (including workcover, superannuation and ATO matters)
* Knowledge of GST
* Knowledge of Xero accounting software and Receipt Bank tool
* Experience with developing budgets for grant applications
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills and demonstrated ability to clearly explain financial concepts to a mainstream audience
* Strong organisation and time management skills
* Ability to work effectively in a team
* Ability to develop, support and follow administration processes and procedures
* Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
* Must hold relevant Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance or be willing to obtain prior to commencing employment
