**Responsibilities**:
- Participate in grading crew operations to council standards, schedules, and policies.
- Operate grader, water truck, roller, and other assigned equipment.
- Repair or report observed road maintenance issues.
- Maintain records of roads graded each month.
- Care for plant, tools, and equipment, including fuel, lubrication, and fluid levels.
- Perform daily maintenance of equipment.
- Ensure personal safety by using appropriate clothing and equipment.
- Follow health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Undertake traffic control duties in compliance with regulations.
- Contribute to the successful operation of the Asset Management and Maintenance Department.
- Support the development of unit staff by sharing skills and knowledge.
**Requirements**:
- Hold a current Victorian driver's license, including truck (up to 15T).
- Experience in operating a grader and other relevant equipment.
- Competence in traffic control and working on roads.
- Proficiency in the use of small plant.
- Knowledge of OH&S, safe working practices, and grading activities.
- Familiarity with road maintenance techniques.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
