Role: Own the commercial and supply chain for Lindian’s new Rare Earths Project in Malawi. Set the strategy, lock in the contracts, and keep materials, services, and product moving on time and on budget.Location: Perth, with travel as required. Reports to the CFO and works closely with Operations, Legal, Finance, and HSEC.
What you’ll doStrategy and leadershipBuild and execute the commercial and supply strategy from construction through ramp-up to steady state.Lead a small team and lift capability across sites and corporate.Contracts and procurementRun end-to-end sourcing and tendering for mining, processing, logistics, camp services, reagents, fuel, and utilities.Negotiate and administer contracts, including variations, claims, KPIs, and performance reviews.Set pre- and post-contract controls, templates, and reporting.Supply chain and logisticsStand up materials management, inventory, and warehousing.Secure inbound supply to site and outbound product logistics along the regional corridor to port.Manage vendor qualification, delivery risk, and critical spares.Financials and reportingOwn budgets, cost tracking, and commercial reporting.Drive savings, cost transparency, and business intelligence across the portfolio.Governance and riskEnsure compliance with company policies, HSEC standards, and applicable laws.Apply sound contract law fundamentals, Incoterms, and import/export requirements.Maintain a live commercial risk register and mitigation plans.What you’ll bring10+ years commercial, supply, or contracts management in mining or minerals processing.Tertiary qualification in Business, Engineering, Finance, or Accounting.Strong negotiation, tendering, and contract administration skills.Solid budgeting and financial analysis, with clear reporting.Hands-on experience with CMMS/ERP and Microsoft Office. Pronto experience is a plus.Proven work in remote or African operating environments.Clear communicator who holds self and others to account and can influence across disciplines.Nice to haveExperience with pre-contract estimating and post-contract administration.Variation and claims assessment.Procurement and contract advisory for major packages.Team training and rollout of commercial best practice.
