OverviewPWR is currently looking for an experienced Fire Alarm Technician to assist PWR's Pilbara Fire Division.
The right person will have exposure to aspects of electrical installation and certification of fire detection and suppression systems.ResponsibilitiesMaintaining and servicing all Fire Alarm Systems and Fire Fighting Equipment to Australian StandardsSetting up, installing, networking and programming various types of Detection Sensors (e.g: Xtralis / VESDA systems)Fault finding on various fire systems, networks and access control systems.Installation and programming of fire panels from various manufacturers (e.g: AMPAC, Notifier and Vigilant)Installation and programming of various site monitoring systems (eg: Graphics, SCADA)Installation and servicing of gaseous suppression systems and equipment.Developing and maintaining Fire Alarm System and Fire Fighting Equipment (FFE) reports and documentationServicing of Portable Fire EquipmentAdhoc tasks as required.QualificationsCurrent 'A' class Electrical license or Open Cabling RegistrationEAHL License (2,3,6) – preferred, but not essentialRoom Integrity testing experience – preferred, but not essentialCertificate II in Fire Protection Testing and Inspection – preferred, but not essential.A valid Manual Australian driver's LicensePrevious experience in the fire industryRole DetailsFor the successful applicant, we are offering a permanent full time FIFO role from Perth to the Pilbara region on a 8:6 roster, a great working environment, long-term career opportunities and a competitive salary package.How to applyPlease apply using the links in this advertisementNote: This refined description removes duplicate boilerplate content and converts formatting to accessible, standards-compliant HTML.
