Every day is different, but you'll mostly be:
Responsibilities
Be the first point of contact to guests as they arrive at the hotel, and their lasting impression when they leave
Make the check-in and check-out process swift and seamless
Take, manage, and receive payments for guest bookings
Flex your knowledge of room categories, rates, packages and promotions to demonstrate value
Ensure the daily checklist and reporting is accurate to support the overnight team
Anticipate guests' needs, record and act on preferences, and handle messages, requests, questions and concerns
Acknowledge IHG One Rewards members and returning guests, in person or on the phone
Act as a capable concierge with knowledge of local events and personal experiences
Assist guests with luggage and transport requirements; assist with parking while practicing safe driving techniques
Adhere to IHG policy on Trade Practices Act, Gifts and Bribery and Data Privacy; follow hotel credit policy
Identify and report hazards, evaluate risks, and help design hazard control measures
Keep guest areas neat and tidy
Qualifications
Ideally 1 year of Front Office or Guest Services experience
Proficiency with Opera Property Management System (PMS) is highly regarded
Qualifications in Hotel Management and/or Hospitality related field preferred
Strong literacy and tech-savviness; positive reading, writing, basic maths and computer skills
Articulate, warm, welcoming and easy to talk to
Fluent in local language; additional languages are a plus
Strong problem-solving skills
Presentable with good grooming and hygiene standards
Physical ability to be on your feet, bend, kneel, and lift up to 23 kg with equipment support
Team player who can handle a fast-paced environment and multiple tasks
Flexible to work a 24/7 rotating roster including nights, weekends and public holidays
Current open Australian driver's licence with a explicit driving record
You must meet the legal requirements to work in Australia
