Senior Archivist Role Summary
The ideal candidate will possess a high degree of technical skills and archival systems knowledge, as well as strong problem-solving skills, including critical analysis and evaluation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Managing donations and transfers of records to archives and coordinating the Annual Disposal program.
* Delivering a range of services in support of legislative requirements, internal policies, and cultural and historical legacy.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* A high degree of technical skills and archival systems knowledge.
* Strong skills in manipulating and managing data.
* An excellent understanding of current and emerging practices in archives, digitisation and digital preservation.
* A demonstrated record of innovation and commitment to continuous improvement.
* Strong problem-solving skills, including critical analysis and evaluation.
* A proven record of adopting a flexible approach to work and adapting to a constantly changing work environment.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to liaise with a diverse range of stakeholders.
* A demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and lead through positive influence.
* Project management skills and experience.
