The WA Country Health Service (WACHS) is seeking a highly motivated, detail-focussed and forward-thinking Consultant Physician to join the WA Rural Physician Training Pathway as Director Clinical Training - Network Director Physician Education for the WACHS Physician Training Network.
About The Role
In this role, you will work alongside the current Network Director Physician Education and Network Training Program Coordinator as part of a dynamic team committed to advancing Physician training across rural, regional, and remote Western Australia.
The WA Country Health Service (WACHS) Medical Education Unit (MEU), based at Curtin University, hosts the WA Rural Physician Training Pathway (WA RPTP) alongside other vocational training pathways to sustainably build the specialist workforce for country WA.
Responsibilities
As Director Clinical Training – Network Director Physician Education, you will lead the oversight and strategic management of basic physician trainees in the WACHS Network, including their recruitment, development, education and training coordination and progress.
You will play a key role in shaping and expanding Physician training across rural, regional, and remote Western Australia, working collaboratively with our metropolitan tertiary partners, Office of the Chief Medical Officer (OCMO) and the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) to ensure a fully integrated and high-quality training experience statewide.
Requirements
To be eligible for appointment, applicants must have Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) and at least two years' experience as a Consultant Physician.
