**About the role**
The 2IC is an intermediate role between the Site Foreman and the workers, and is responsible for supporting the foreman in the management and execution of projects. They are expected to execute tasks autonomously as well as lead and delegate duties to other workers. The As 2IC you are required to have a fair understanding of quality standards, site organisation, timelines and work place health and safety.
**Key Responsibilities for the role**
- Delivering landscaping duties such as;
- General Landscaping Tasks i.e., Edging, Turfing, Mulching and Planting
- Irrigation Systems
- Drainage systems including podiums
- Crane management
- Retaining walls
- Extensive plant knowledge and ex-ground trees
- Site Levels
- Concreting, paving, rockwork and AstroTurf
- Organising daily on-site checks
- Organising material delivers
- Monitoring project progress schedules and deadlines
- Managing workers and efficiency of team
- Quality control
**Skills & experience**
- At least 3 years' experience in a landscaping construction role
- Driver's licence MR truck licence preferred
- Certificate 3 in Landscaping Construction
- Construction White Card
- Bobcat and Excavator Tickets would be advantageous
