The National Landcare Network (NLN) is seeking an Executive Officer to lead its evolution through a new phase of governance and business model refreshment.

As the chief representative, you will work closely with the Board and State and Territory Landcare Organisations (STLOs) to achieve NLN's strategic goals and core values.


Key Responsibilities:

* Lead the review of NLN's strategic plan, corporate compliance framework, and business model;
* Advance NLN's objects and purposes in collaboration with STLOs and their senior leadership;
* Ensure organisational effectiveness through effective financial management and sound governance processes;

The ideal candidate will possess strong stakeholder engagement, advocacy, negotiation, and conflict management skills, as well as excellent strategic planning, financial, and policy development skills. A proven ability to develop and secure funding through grants, sponsorships, and partnerships is also essential.

Additional qualifications or professional development in governance, leadership, or financial management would be advantageous. The Executive Officer will be responsible for maintaining a safe and respectful working environment for NLN staff and collaborators.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

* Executive leadership experience in member-based volunteer organisations in the not-for-profit sector in Australia;
* Strong project management skills, including government contract management;
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and lead teams;
* A tertiary qualification in Environmental, Social, or Health Science, Natural Resource Management, Business, Community Development, Project Management, or a related field;

Benefits:

* A competitive salary package;
* A part-time position (0.6 FTE) with potential to increase dependent on funding;
* An initial 3-year contract, renewable subject to funding;
