BHI is a small multidisciplinary practice with multiple locations and a studio scale feel. BHI has 40+ years of practice history with a wide diversity of projects and a friendly & relaxed work environment.
We are seeking a Senior Architect with strong project leadership and high-level detailing experience to join our team. This role is suited to someone who enjoys running projects, working closely with clients, and producing technically strong documentation.
Full time position available with part time considered for the right candidate.
ROLE:
Level of experience and pay-scale is dependent on the quality of applications received, however a minimum of 7-8 years is preferred to achieve the requirements for the role.
Tasks undertaken as part of the role:
* Lead projects from Concept through to Construction Documentation
* Manage client and consultant relationships
* Produce and oversee high-quality documentation and detailing
* Prepare and coordinate DA/CDC/CC/Planning Documentation
* Work collaboratively with a small and experienced team
Essential Requirements:
- Registered Architect or highly experienced Senior Architect
- Minimum 7 years industry experience (indicative)
- ArchiCAD proficiency and working in 3D
- Proven experience delivering projects across NSW
- Strong technical knowledge and construction detailing skills
- A passion for design and innovative thought
- Proven experience in all stages of Design but have an eye for detail (not necessary for Urban Designer/Planner role)
- Excellent communication skills (with colleagues, clients and consultants)
- Proactive work ethic is a must
- Enthusiasm
- Ability to take direction and feedback
- Ability to work with and communicate in a small team but also with our other offices via Teams
- Microsoft 365 program knowledge (Teams, Excel, etc.)
- Knowledge of Australian Standards and NCC/BCA
Desirable skills (but not necessary):
- Understanding of 3D rendering programs (preferably TwinMotion)
- Experience in Adobe suite, particularly Photoshop & Indesign
