Helicopter Instructors are required to conduct ab-initio flight instruction on the EC-135 T2+ aircraft.
The role involves ground instruction, briefings and lectures, operating training aircraft and equipment, and updating trainee records.
You will also be responsible for mentoring trainees, reviewing trainee progress, and maintaining aircrew qualifications and currency requirements in accordance with relevant Standing Instructions and as amended by Special Flying Instructions.
In addition, you will participate in external evaluations, assist the Training Manager, and comply with Workplace/Occupational Health and Safety procedures.
To be considered for this position, you must have a current CASA Class 1 Medical, CASA Commercial Pilot Licence (Helicopter) - CPL(H), CASA Command Instrument Rating (Helicopter), and CASA Night Visual Flight Rules Rating.
Additionally, you will need experience in military flight instruction, helicopter NVD formation experience, and 250 hours of NVD flight operations. Clear and effective English written and verbal communication skills in a stressful flying environment are also essential.
