THE ROLE
We are currently seeking a Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic that specialises in Road Transport Equipment to join our Newman depot team. Offered on a 2/1 roster ex Perth (or Newman), this position includes night shifts, 7 days, 7 nights, 7 days off and working 12.5 hour shifts.
As a HD Mechanic you will:
* Conduct regular maintenance and repairs on a variety of heavy vehicles including Trucks, buses and trailers
* Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment
* Perform routine inspections to identify potential problems and prevent breakdowns
* Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed
* Communicate with stakeholders to explain repairs and provide estimates for work
* Work collaboratively with other mechanics and providers to ensure timely completion of all repairs
ABOUT YOU
To be considered you will hold the following:
* HD Automotive Mechanic trade qualifications
* Experience working on Macks and Volvos
* Australian Drivers Licence – MR or HR class
* Australian work rights
* Ability to pass a pre‐employment medical and ongoing drug & alcohol screens
