As we continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our leadership team and help strengthen our financial operations, compliance, and strategic planning.

About the Role

The Senior Accountant will play a key role in managing the organisation's financial operations, ensuring compliance, and supporting strategic financial decision-making.

Working closely with the CEO and General Manager, you will oversee financial reporting, budgeting, and accounting processes to ensure the organisation remains financially sustainable while delivering high-quality services.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic, mission-driven organisation and wants to contribute to meaningful community impact.

Key Responsibilities

* Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
* Manage general ledger, reconciliations, and financial records
* Support budget development, forecasting, and variance analysis
* Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes
* Ensure compliance with Australian Accounting Standards, taxation, and regulatory requirements
* Support NDIS financial processes, fund budgeting, invoicing and claims management
* Assist with internal and external audits
* Monitor cash flow and financial performance
* Provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision‐making
* Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost efficiency

Skills, Qualification and Experience

* Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
* CPA or CA qualification (or working towards).
* Minimum 5 years' accounting experience, preferably within the NDIS, health, or community services sector.
* Strong understanding of Australian Accounting Standards and financial regulations
* Strong analytical and problem‐solving skills
* Proficiency with accounting software and financial systems
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.

About You

* Experience working within the NDIS, disability, or community services sector
* Experience with Xero, or similar accounting systems
* Experience in budgeting, financial reporting, and financial analysis
