Are you a safety-focused individual with experience operating machinery, particularly Front-End Loaders? Bunge is seeking a Plant Operator to join our Newcastle site.
About the role
As a Plant Operator, you'll play a key role in the safe and efficient loading, unloading, and storage of product at the site. You'll work with loaders, screeners, and other site equipment while maintaining high standards for health and safety, feed and food quality, and site cleanliness.
This hands-on operational role is ideal for someone with experience in machinery operation and bulk product handling, a strong attention to detail, and a willingness to follow set procedures and contribute to team success.
This role includes participation in a rotational night shift schedule. Applicants must be willing and able to work night shifts on a rotating basis as part of the team's operational requirements.
Duties
* Operate front-end loaders and screeners in a safe and efficient manner
* Load and unload vehicles in line with order requirements and site procedures
* Complete all relevant documentation accurately, including MPI and site records
* Maintain store and yard cleanliness and assist with stock rotation and hygiene
* Carry out pre-start checks, and maintain loaders and equipment according to schedule
* Adhere to all site, MPI, and health & safety procedures
* Support a culture of zero harm and strong feed/food safety awareness
* Work collaboratively within the team and communicate effectively with supervisors
About you
* Experience operating loaders and other site machinery
* Familiarity with stock receipting, dispatch, and storage practices
* Comfortable using tablets or computers for record keeping and basic admin
* Team-oriented with a strong focus on safety and following procedures
* Current front-end loader licence required (WTR endorsements required)
* Full driver's licence (if required to operate company vehicles)
