Our client, a Hobart-based Australasian business, is the largest distributor of bearings, power transmission, hose and fittings, fluid power, lifting, rigging & safety gear and industrial products across the Asia Pacific region.
An essential and critical part of their business is the unmatched reliability, expertise, and efficiency in what they do They are now looking for a Lifting Technician to join their team in Hobart.
Lifting Technician - Responsible for inspecting, testing, repairing, and maintaining lifting equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations. You will work closely with customers to provide expert advice and solutions, ensuring their lifting equipment is reliable and safe to use.
This role is full-time hours, working 38 hours per week, commencing through Workforce Extensions at a competitive hourly rate with a view to permanency with our client.
Key requirements and attributes for this position include, however not limited to:
* Driver's License is essential
* Strong Mechanical Aptitude
* Customer Service experience
* Ability to work in a team environment
* Ideal, but not essential - LEEA Diploma
* Ideally suit a Rigger or Tradesperson with a Dogman's ticket
* Knowledge of Australian standards related to lifting equipment and safety
