We're looking for a Field/Sales Technician, with strong trade skills and an interest in agricultural machinery and technology. The role is primarily hands-on, involving workshop builds, machine modifications, installations, and field support of precision ag equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assemble, modify, and install mechanical components and machinery
* Fit and service hydraulic systems, linkages, and control components
* Carry out mechanical upgrades to planters, sprayers and other agricultural equipment
* Diagnostics, troubleshooting, and on-farm technical support
* Machine inspections and performance optimisation
* Assisting growers with setup, calibration, and training
* Supporting demonstrations, field days, and customer events
* Working closely with the sales and operations team to deliver high-quality service, ensuring all work meets safety, quality, and performance standards
To be successful, you will have:
* Trade-qualified fitter or related experience of at least 3 years.
* Experience working with agricultural machinery, hydraulics, or heavy equipment
* Strong fitter and mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills to identify faults quickly and minimise machine downtime
* Comfortable working both in a workshop and on-farm
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Good attention to detail and pride in workmanship
* Welding, fabrication, or hydraulics experience highly regarded
* Interest in precision agriculture
