Position: Horticulturalist
Type: Permanent | Full-time | 76 Hours Per Fortnight
Benefits: Nine Day Fortnight | Premium Recquatic Membership | 12.5% Superannuation
This position is classified as a PACS Band 3 ($66,067 – $69,784 p.a.) under the City of Kwinana's structured remuneration system.
What's On Offer
A fantastic opportunity exists for a suitably qualified Horticulturalist who is passionate about working outdoors. As a Horticulturalist, you will be responsible for undertaking best practice horticulture, landscape establishment, and maintenance for City of Kwinana parks and streetscapes.
What You'll Need
* Demonstrated practical experience with parks and garden maintenance and landscape development tasks; knowledge of amenity planting and common weed species.
* The ability to safely prepare and apply herbicides.
* Communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with an operational team in public spaces and address public queries as required.
* The ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and report on work outputs as required.
* Cert III in Horticulture, or other relevant tertiary qualifications or experience.
* Current MR Class Licence, Basic Worksite Traffic Management Certificate, Safety Awareness Training – White Card, First Aid Certificate.

Hours of Work: 7:00 am – 4:00 pm, Monday to Thursday; 7:00 am – 3:45 pm, Friday.
