Are you an experienced freight forwarding professional with solid knowledge of airfreight operations? Our client, a well-established logistics company based in Tullamarine, is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Import & Export Airfreight Coordinator to join their team on a temporary basis via HOBAN Recruitment to cover maternity leave. This temp role, Monday to Friday, offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the smooth running of both import and export operations in a supportive and professional team environment. Key Responsibilities Import Air: Register and manage incoming shipment job files Liaise with customers and manage shipments through to delivery and billing Communicate with terminals, trucking companies, and internal teams to ensure timely movement of goods Perform administrative duties, including cost entry, reporting, and filing Occasionally carry out physical checks of import cargo Export Air: Oversee the full air export process Coordinate bookings with customers and airlines Prepare export documentation and arrange transport Communicate with overseas agents for pre-alerts and inter-company billing Conduct physical checks, labeling, and reporting of export cargo General Duties: Answer incoming calls and take messages Perform general administrative tasks as needed About You Proven experience in international freight forwarding - import and/or export air operations Strong communication and coordination skills Attention to detail with solid administrative capabilities Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Physically able to handle occasional cargo inspections Experience using CargoWise is highly regarded What's On Offer Work with a reputable logistics provider in Tullamarine Temporary, full-time role covering maternity leave Competitive hourly rate Great support from HOBAN Recruitment throughout your assignment At HOBAN we encourage applications from people with disability, people from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds, people of all genders, LGBTI people, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
