The Role
Funded by BHP the Flipside program offers a valuable service to people and their families in Roxby Downs and surrounding areas. As the Flipside Clinician you will provide early intervention mental health support to people aged between 10-25 years and while engaging more broadly with young people throughout the community through various education/workshops, schools and other forums to upskill community leaders and ambassadors who support young people in their future.
Key responsibilities:
- Building purposeful relationships with young people and families
- Supporting young people individually and through various group forums to be their best
- Link young people with community supports to enhance their life
- Participate in mental health community awareness programs and initiatives
About You
If you are passionate about the health and wellbeing of our young people and want to make a difference where it counts then this role is for you!
You will need:
Any of the following qualifications suitable for appropriate registration:
- Social Worker
- Psychologist / Provisional Psychologist / Occupational Therapist
- Registered Nurse (RN)
- Able to work with young people and their families in a rural setting to assess and develop treatment plans that contribute toward recovery
- Ability to engage with community groups and schools to promote positive mental health outcomes
