About the Role
We are seeking an experienced NV1‑cleared Technical Writer to join a secure system build project in Canberra. In this role, you will develop comprehensive technical, security, and accreditation documentation that supports the full system lifecycle — from design through to implementation, audit/assurance, and operational transition.
This position is offered as an initial 6‑month contract with extensions, with the option to consider a permanent engagement for the right candidate.
Role Responsibilities
1. Develop, review, and maintain technical documentation including:
* system design documents
* configuration guides
* SOPs and user manuals
* security and accreditation artefacts
2. Ensure documentation aligns with governance, compliance, and accreditation frameworks.
3. Translate complex technical information into clear, structured, user‑friendly content.
4. Work closely with architects, engineers, cyber security specialists, and project managers to source and validate technical information.
5. Maintain version control, templates, and documentation repositories.
6. Support audit and assurance activities by ensuring documentation accuracy and traceability.
