Role Overview
This role is ideal for an experienced chef looking to take on more responsibility, leadership, and creative involvement in the daily operations of our kitchen.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in overseeing daily kitchen operations across à la carte dining, club events, and functions.
* Lead and support kitchen staff during service, ensuring smooth and efficient execution.
* Maintain high food quality, consistency, and presentation standards.
* Support menu development and contribute creative ideas for seasonal and function menus.
* Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and WHS standards.
* Manage stock rotation, ordering assistance, and minimise waste.
* Train, mentor, and support junior kitchen staff.
* Assist with rostering and maintaining kitchen cleanliness.
* Step up to supervise the kitchen in the absence of senior chefs.
About You
* Experience as a Chef de Partie or equivalent, ideally within a high-volume or function-based venue.
* Strong knowledge of modern Australian cuisine and seasonal produce.
* Positive attitude, reliability, and a genuine passion for hospitality.
* Ability to remain calm and organised in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong communication and leadership skills.
* Understanding of food safety standards and safe kitchen practices.
* Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and event-based schedules.
