This is a energetic opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the student experience within the Faculty of Engineering, Architecture and Information Technology (EAIT). As the Employability Support Officer, you will be the first point of contact for students seeking guidance on employability, work-integrated learning, and professional practice.
In this highly engaging role, you will not only provide direct support to students but also collaborate with the wider EAIT Employability Team to deliver innovative programs, events, and industry engagement initiatives. From coordinating employability workshops and managing student placements, to building connections with industry and promoting opportunities through digital channels, your contribution will directly enhance students’ career readiness and professional success.
About The Role
The successful candidate will have a degree or diploma in a relevant discipline with subsequent experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education training. You will have the ability to work in a busy and diverse environment whilst maintaining a strong customer service ethos and the ability to make students feel comfortable and welcome as they seek support.
Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Act as the first point of contact for students, providing high-quality support and guidance on employability, placements, and professional practice.
- Coordinate and contribute to the successful delivery of employability events, workshops, programs, and industry engagement initiatives.
- Support the administration and management of student placements, agreements, records, and related documentation to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Assist with building and promoting industry partnerships and student opportunities through digital platforms, communications, and stakeholder engagement.
