Are you passionate about delivering exceptional support services to clients and their families? Do you have a strong background in psychology, social work, or human services? We are seeking a highly skilled Social Health Counsellor to join our team and contribute to providing comprehensive support services to clients and their families.


Duties

1. Develop and implement effective interventions using techniques and methodologies of proven effectiveness from a sound evidence base.
2. Respond promptly to critical incidents, providing wellbeing first aid to patients.
3. Conduct thorough wellbeing assessments to evaluate risks, identify client needs, and guide treatment delivery plans.
4. Provide group interventions to meet mental health consumer's needs.
5. Maintain high standards of case management and record keeping processes.
6. Facilitate referrals and coordination between different sites or programs to deliver mental health and social needs services.
7. Liaise with community organisations and government agencies to gather information, refer clients, network, and promote services.
8. Foster positive working relationships with colleagues, clients, and external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor qualification in either Psychology/Social Work/Human Services/Behavioural Science or Counselling, and demonstrate a strong understanding of culturally responsive frameworks and efficacious mental health treatment approaches. They should also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively in a team environment.

This is a permanent part-time opportunity with an annual salary of $84,080 per annum pro rata, plus 11.5% Super and Not for Profit Salary Packaging. The role requires a National Police Clearance, Working with Children's Card (Blue Card), and Working with Disability Card (Yellow NDIS Card).


Requirements

* Bachelor qualification in either Psychology/Social Work/Human Services/Behavioural Science or Counselling.
* Strong clinical judgement and report-writing skills.
* Culturally responsive approach to practice.
* Experience in developing and implementing mental health treatment plans.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* National Police Clearance.
* Working with Children's Card (Blue Card) or be eligible to apply.
* Working with Disability Card (Yellow NDIS Card) or be eligible to apply.
